Nude in San Francisco will be Fined

City of San Francisco on the west coast of the United States is known as a very liberal city. Some movements are considered to be eccentric, or even distorted in other places, received open in this city. For example, movement of equal rights for gays and nudists, aka a group of people who enjoy nude.

However, San Francisco turned out to have a limit too. Scott Wiener, a member of the legislative council of the City of San Francisco Democratic Party, for example, has proposed draft legislation that would ban the nudists entered the restaurant and requires them to lay a coat or chairs in public places will be occupied.

In the draft regulations, a person will be fined 100 dollars on the first offense, $ 200 on a second offense, and 1,000 U.S. dollars plus one year in jail if caught breaking for the third time or more. Rationale behind this rule, Wiener said, because of the nudists are more annoying and disgusting in recent years.

"In recent years more and more their behavior is disgusting and in plain sight. They gathered together and seated in a chair (garden) without the pads or coatings. It (the behavior) that can harm our health," said Wiener.

One area that became the center of activity nudists in San Francisco is an area named Castro, who became the center of the gay movement in the 1960s and the 1970s. According to Wiener, a group of naked people are often gathered in public parks Jane Warner Plaza, near the intersection of Castro and Market Street.

One member of this group of nudists named Woody Miller. When the reporter met Agence France Presse news agency (AFP), some time ago, Miller was walking in the District Castro without wearing a stitch on, except sneakers, baseball caps, and watches.

"I like to walk around nude on a sunny day because I like the touch of sunlight and free air on my skin," said 55-year-old man. "Nothing is obscene from the human body. The belief that there is something that has been taught (that one should dress), it's just another form of prejudice," said Miller.

Miller argues, Wiener proposed regulations was not necessary. According to him, had become common etiquette among nudists that each will sit in a public place, they should bring a towel as a sort of cushion. "We do not need to make it official regulations. It is set in the 'user guide for nudists'. We do not travel without carrying a towel," said Miller.
