Unlock, or allowing, in webcam allows its use in video conferencing or web sites that allow users to create their own webcam feeds. Disabling a webcam that allows, for example, to prevent unauthorized users from accessing the camera via a network connection. However, if you want to activate the webcam again, you can do so using the Windows Device Manager.

1. Click on "Start." Select "Devices and Printers
2. Right-click anywhere in the window and select "Device Manager" from the contextual menu.
3. Right-click on the name of your webcam and select "Enable." Applications will now be able to access your webcam
