PT Perusahaan Gas Negara said 2009 net income jumped almost tenfold to 6.2 trillion rupiah from 633.9 billion rupiah a year earlier as sales increased and after posting a foreign exchange gain.
Sales rose to 18 trillion rupiah from 12.8 trillion rupiah and the company posted a foreign exchange gain of 1.2 trillion rupiah compared with a loss of 2.5 trillion rupiah a year earlier, Gas Negara said in a filing to the Indonesia Stock Exchange dated April 1.
